Alerts: add current neighborhood concerns here.

Until 2018, Trussville Police closed our Palm Street gate from 11 PM–6 AM, however in 2018, Parks and Recreation workers took down the gates at the north and south ends of the Sports Complex. Since then, the Palm Street gate has been left open all night. The SOHA directors agree that the gate provides a measure of neighborhood security and have asked our commissioner in charge of Parks and Rec to resume the gate-closing policy. The commissioner sent us to the Parks and Rec director, who has not answered our messages. The directors will keep trying to reinstate the policy. Despite numerous discussions with Parks and Recs, commissioners, and the Trussville Police, this matter remains unresolved as of June 21, 2019.

The Sherman Oaks Homeowners' Association Board of Directors has scheduled a neighborhood meeting for Tuesday, July 9, 6–8 PM at the Trussville Civic Center. Our Association has been named in a lawsuit filed by one of our Sherman Oaks neighbors. The directors will describe the details of the lawsuit, and explain the suit's threat to each of us. We need your input on this important matter, and we hope to see you there.
