Hyw 11 is controlled by the State of Al. I have ask the City about this before and the answer is this Hwy is controlled by the State and the chances of getting a traffic light at our entrance is slim to none.

Will we ever get a red light?. I was hit from behind coming into Sherman Oaks and on several occasions there is a long line trying to get onto HWY.11 because the cars are trying to turn left. This neighborhood has grown and with all of the park traffic it is not safe trying to get in at certain times of the day. We would like to let each other out, but cars fly around us and almost hit the one trying to get out of neighborhood. Thank You!

We received our May 2016 Newsletter. I read the request for email addresses and I have a question: Why don't we put an email address on the newsletter so homeowners can just email the SOHA? That would be much easier and effective than calling an officer or mailing our email address to a mailbox. Another suggestion would be to put our web address on the newsletter as opposed to doing a search. I also agree with the suggestion of a Sherman Oaks Facebook page. Thank you to all of you who volunteer to keep our neighborhood a great place to live!

We are new to Sherman Oaks, having moved in this past August 2015, on Black Walnut Lane. We wanted to say "thank you" to Larry and Susie, our next-door neighbors for hosting a little get-together for us and the neighbors around us, so that we could meet them back in December. Everyone we have met has been awesome and we are glad to be a part of the neighborhood!
